Health and safety

The safety of our team and the communities in which we operate is of paramount importance to us.

We require all visitors to our sites to comply with relevant legislation, company and site specific requirements, adhere to relevant codes of practice, maintain all applicable licences, registrations and insurance and follow employee instructions to ensure the safety of all people on site.

To ensure everyone who delivers or outturns commodities, or carries out work at one of our sites knows the rules and maintains applicable licences, registrations and insurance, we require them to have a relevant and up to date safety induction. More information about the safety inductions required to attend a Bunge site.

No prior induction required. You will be given a site specific induction when you arrive.

If you are unsure about which card you require, please contact your local Bunge site manager.

Carriers engaged by Bunge (or subcontracting for a company engaged by Bunge) and contractors carrying out work at our sites require a valid Rapid registration.

Rapid allows you and your company to self-register and upload qualifications, licences and insurances, and provides online induction training relevant to the type of contractor that you are. It also allows us to provide safety information to all contractors and ensures you are aware of our site operations and are therefore better equipped to conduct your work in a safe environment.

You will need to be invited by Bunge to register in the Rapid system.  Please reach out to your Bunge contact to ask them to arrange a registration link to be sent to you.

View our Rapid instructions for contractors to assist you in registering. For further help, please contact Rapid Global support on 1800 307 595.

Once you have registered, you can log in to your account via the MyRapid portal.

If you have any questions please contact us on 0800 105 106.

Carriers (who are not engaged by Bunge, or subcontracting for a company engaged by Bunge) require a valid safety card.

To get a safety card, complete the safety induction for grower and driver deliveries and outturns.

If you hold a Rapid registration, you do not need a safety card as well.

The safety card verifies that you are up to date with the relevant safety requirements, procedures and responsibilities relating to transporting grain at our sites.

The induction identifies specific hazards you may come across whilst on our sites, what controls are in place to manage the risks around any hazards, and what you need to do to stay safe.

A safety card needs to be renewed every two years to ensure you are up to date with the latest safety information.
